Autism Intervention

Treatment for children with autism can begin at any stage, although it is most beneficial if started early, also called Early Intensive Behavior Intervention, or EIBI.  Due to the disorder being a spectrum disorder, all children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder are unique and special in their own strengths and needs.  Some children will need a comprehensive treatment program to build skills in all developmental areas of delay.  Others will need specified intervention to work on focused areas of concern, for example, toilet training, social skills, or compliance following instructions.

Our experts will determine what type of treatment your child needs in order to improve upon any challenging behaviors they may exhibit, skills they need in order to improve deficit developmental areas of functioning, and learning-to-learn behaviors in order for your child to learn at a more typical level.  Please fill out and submit an intake form (Intake template) and one of our team members will be in touch with you to discuss next steps.

Areas that may be part of your child’s treatment program include

  • Language and communication
  • Eating, toileting, dressing, bathing, and other self-help skills
  • Menstruation management for females
  • Behavior and impulse management
  • Tolerance training
  • Play and social skills
  • Attention and compliance
  • Community skills
